避難を行った南相馬５施設、避難を行わなかった相馬２施設に協力いただき、原発事故後の高齢者の避難リスクに関して、これまで３本の論文を発表しました。３つ目が今回のものです。

2013年、 PLOS ONE 発表（Nomura et al. 2013）

南相馬施設のみを対象に、事故前後で死亡リスクを比較したもの。過去5年と比較し、事故後1年の死亡率は平均で2.68倍に上昇。ただ避難者のみで解析したため、避難に伴うよるリスクによるのか、ただ事故に伴うストレス環境変化などによるものなのかまでは検証できなかった。

避難によりリスクと、放射線によるリスクを「損失余命=どれだけ余命を失うか」で比較したもの。4つのシナリオを想定した結果（迅速な避難、時間をかけた避難、避難せず被曝20mSv、避難せず被曝）、迅速な避難には11,000人・日（人・日=人数×日数の単位）の損失余命があったのに対しに、その他のシナリオでは、27、1100、5800人・日の損失余命しかなく、迅速な避難には大きなリスクがあることを示した。

2015年（今回）、Preventive Medicine 発表（Nomura et al. 2015）

Nomura et al. (2013)の論文にさらに相馬の2施設を加えた、発展研究。避難した方（南相馬）としなかった方（相馬）で事故後の死亡リスクを比較することで、避難に伴うよる死亡リスクを詳細に検討した。今回の事故において「避難する」ことには、「避難しない」場合に対し、1.82倍の死亡リスクがあることがわかった。さらに、避難をその回数別に見ると、「一次避難」には、「避難しない」場合に対し、3.37倍の死亡リスクがあった。一方、その後の「二次避難以降」には、死亡リスクに統計的有意性は見られなかった。
